About The Artist

Brendan Blaney is a portrait photographer based in Dallas, with a BFA from Parsons School of Design. His work is shaped by the visual language of Baroque painting — chiaroscuro light, formal stillness, and a quiet emotional charge. Rather than performance, his portraits focus on presence: subtle shifts in posture, tension, or gaze that suggest something unfolding just beneath the surface. The images feel lived-in and restrained, holding space for ambiguity, intimacy, and the unsaid.
